About

Are you always replaying your past, unable to let go of resentments, grievances and judgements towards others?

Have you ever thought about forgiveness – yet don’t feel ready to take action? Or, maybe you thought you’d already forgiven yet the pain keeps coming back? Are you ready to let go of those judgements and resentments that keep holding you back?

It’s okay. I get it. I’ve been there too.

You see, there’s no right or wrong.

To forgive is not a one and done process. It’s an ongoing practice, an inside job.

I reflect on forgiveness on a daily basis. I walk my talk, which I know has to be one of the most difficult choices and actions to take.

How to Overcome Resentment by Louisa Hext, the Forgiveness Coach

I’m Louisa, your Forgiveness Coach.

When I was about six, I’d visit my best friends, Ruth and Carol. A girl with disabilities lived across the road. She was older than me. While my friends stayed away, I was drawn to her kindness and her differentness—her name was Poppy. I adored her. I didn’t think much about it then—it just was what it was.

One day, my Mum’s question caught me off guard: “Why do you care so much?” I just smiled and said—“Because I do”. That question planted a seed that’s bloomed into understanding, empathy and compassion throughout my life.

Why do I care so much?

I care because I’ve seen how loneliness and suffering can echo in the spaces between us, yet a simple connection and smile can immediately fill that void.

You see, my family roots run deep. My grandparents and great grandparents experienced the trauma of the Holocaust – their survival and legacy is etched into my overall being. Their stories aren’t just part of history; they’re living lessons in human resilience. Through their storytelling, I’ve learned that to forgive isn’t immediate. And sometimes actions are just not forgivable. And yet, the struggle to rebuild one’s life, to find meaning and purpose has shown me what healing and transformation truly look like.

My self-awareness and intense curiosity has led me to want to better understand the other. As a credentialed life coach, my clients emerge carrying great hurt— they carry heavy weights, resentments, and bitter judgments which have calcified and blistered over the years. They enrol me to support them to move in a different direction—to release what no longer serves them. There are no quick fixes or easy steps.

My clients are seeking something deeper and transformational—the courage to look beyond their pain and to say—“I want more.”

Some days, you’ll feel the path is easy, exciting and exuberant. You’re healing more quickly than expected. Other days it will feel like you’re trying to move a mountain and rolling backwards fast. Often, you’ll catch glimpses of sunlight breaking through the clouds—moments when your face softens, your jaw is less tight and you feel lighter. With patience and time, you’ll notice these moments will come more frequently and remind you why your healing process matters.

That little girl who crossed the street to play with Poppy—she’s still here, still seeing the beauty in broken places, still believing in the power of human resilience and transformation. And if you’re ready to begin your own forgiveness journey, I’m ready to be your guide.

It’s courageous, contagious and life changing.

Are you ready to take the path?

What is working with me like?

I don’t promise fairy-tale endings.

I won’t give you that golden piece of advice on how to forgive or not to forgive. Nor provide a definition of what forgiveness is or isn’t, because I believe there’s no recipe. It’s all about what works for you!

I won’t even tell you that you NEED to forgive.

What I offer instead is partnership on your unique path—a journey without a destination in which you navigate your life with purpose.

There’ll be no judgment—partnering with me is an opportunity to unpack this messy, complex and irrational topic, looking for a deeper meaning for YOUR unique story—with compassion and empathy.

This isn’t about slapping a “forgiveness” sticker on your wounds. It’s about honouring every tear, every sleepless night, every moment that brought you here. It’s about transforming pain into wisdom, resentment into release, and reclaiming your life.

There’s no fixed process with steps you must take. No expected outcome  regarding the result.

It’s your journey that leads to your healing and wellbeing.

Are you ready?

What My Clients Are Saying...

Hearing from the incredible people I’ve worked with fills my heart and reminds me why this work of forgiveness and healing matters so deeply.

We recently worked with Louisa as our mediator in an amicable do-it-yourself divorce. She empowered us to find the avenues that suited us best, making the process our own in a way that felt right to both of us. We knew we needed her expertise in navigating the complicated forms and the confusing questions of custody, property and finance, but I don't think either of us realized initially how much we needed her compassion and support. She held us emotionally through the process, understanding how raw and overwhelming it truly was, and guided us to the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much Louisa!!

I'm so thankful for your dedication to the many aspects of forgiveness and your outreach to me for another opportunity to open and grow.
I'm also in awe of you, the experiences you have chosen (and the ones that chose you!) And I am so impressed with your leadership styles. Your abilities to draw everyone into discussion and keep the group focused are amazing. It's as if you were a symphony conductor reading a master score and cuing different themes and instruments in order to create a vision but instead you use words. You are that impressive.

Louisa created a very safe space for sharing my questions, feelings and stories around my forgiveness journey in her workshop.
She shared her vast experiences and wisdom which both expanded and comforted me. Louisa brings together such loving people and has a very calming and inclusive presence as a leader.

I’m so appreciative for the insight and assistance you have provided me. In many ways you’ve helped me find my voice. I’ve always just given in to the bullying and manipulation. And that’s what’s landed me in the situation I’m in this late in my life.

Investing in Embracing Forgiveness and Forging the Path has resulted in me choosing to commit to a path of forgiveness. Me choosing a path of forgiveness means I am becoming a praiser, understander, and complimentor. In my experience during this workshop Louisa did well at allowing forgiveness to be explored at infinite angles, allowing story telling as medicine and allowing autonomy!

Louisa helped us through a difficult divorce. I'm very glad we worked with Louisa from the beginning of the process, only employing an attorney to complete the legal documents for the divorce. Louisa has great mediation skills, helping us through emotional conflicts that would have made the process longer and more expensive. Thank you Louisa!
